One of the scheme's key design features is the curvilinear 43 storey Halo tower rising 134 meters above a double basement, flanked by five new mid-rise blocks and the restoration of a locally listed art deco soap factory.  We jump-formed the tower's core and prefabricated bathroom pods off site for programme gains.  The site is bordered along one length by a canal leading to extensive dewatering during the basement construction.

Axial shortening (progressive loading on the reinforced concrete frame) was reduced by the stiff concrete core required to reduce building sway.
