Warwick Road Primary School

Part of the 375 Kensington High Street regeneration by Berkeley.

Role

Production Director, woking with Stockwool architects to develop Squire's vision using pre-fabricated cross-laminated timber (CLT) for the superstructure providing excellent acoustic and thermal performance along with accelerated construction delivering a watertight structure in just a few weeks.  The CLT was manufactured and fabricated in Austria and out performs steel and concrete in terms of embodied energy, carbon emissions and waste.

The design maximised space on this tightly constrained site, creating courtyard play areas, a rooftop play space and a multi-use games court at basement level.
